Recently bought a home and needed a gas plan. Constellation had competitive prices across the board. The only disappointing thing was that I signed up during a promotion they were having for a $150 Visa Card for signing up and it apparently never noted on my account, so I did not receive one. ”

I have been with Star Tex energy for two years., It is now time to renw and they went up on the rate extremely high. i am going to have to search for a new energy provider which i have found several on a 12 month plan that are $.03 cheaper per KWH. Their billing is good and easy and I had no problkem, justs the new rate schedule. ”

After searching several different electricity providers in my area I found Star Tex to have the lowest rates. I have renewed with them 2 times and found they ahve been a good provider with above average customer service (Not the best but certainly not the worst) It's like gas we all use it so we all have to pay for it. You look for good gas prices don't you. Be sure if you apply on line and everything looks like it is set call and talk to a PERSON and verify that was my only complaint. The service I requested online was not what was registered with the office they did correct everything. ”

Prices when I signed up for StarTex Power were very good. Then the contract ended and I wasn't a "new" customer anymore. Problem is, the competition, their rates went up too and with all the bad stuff I'd heard about other companies, I decided to stay with StarTex. It's been a good move.When I saw they offered 100% wind power, I was very happy to sign up for it. Rates for renewable energy are a bit higher than regular rates, but if enough of us sign up for it and create the demand, it should drop. In the meantime, this review is powered by the wind. I love that! ”

The only problem is that if you chose to pay online at they website,there is a $2.95 charge. At my previous companies,Infinity Energy or Atlanta Gas,there was no online charge. On the good side,i can avoid this charge by paying online thru my bank. But the reason i was paying to the gas companies directly was to make points to my credit card. ”

I had been with another provider for more than 2 years at a rate of $.49 per therm. I admit that it was my fault that I did not go back to request another contract price. However, any good provided would have alerted me to ask for another price so that they could keep my business. Instead they decided to raise the rate to $ 1.196 per therm. Even if they had been $ .10 per therm more I would have likely stay with them. Anyway what I did was to look for a better deal and I was obliged to go Constellation for a two year deal which was 1/3 the price of my old provider and Im now very pleased with the outcome and I will like stay with Constellation. ”
