Invisible clients

  I used to get an on-line informational invoice which let us know what was being deducted from our bank account every month. I tried to find that information via Constellation/replaced BG&E. No go via our previous registration with BG&are, so, I tried calling Constellations billing: also no go, in fact, there were no on-line directives to whom I could speak
Youre taking our money but, I really would like to update communicative venues.

They suck

  They lied about cost, was on hold for two hours on two phones and they never answered. Took two days to cancel the order and a week later had to wait 3 hours for them to talk to me. They promised to send email confirmation of order cancelation and never did. All marketing and ads, no customer service. Stay away!

  It has been 2 months since I signed up with Constellation as my natural gas provider. The actual switch did not occur until 27 July and I have yet seen an invoice from Center Point with Constellation on the invoice. Meanwhile, Constellation has enrolled me in their reward point program as invoices catch up.

  My daughter expressed interest in changing the constellation but the electric is in my name so she gave them my email address and after being prompted many times to complete registration and not doing so, they went ahead and subscribed me. Their prices are so much higher than others available I would never have chosen them but they moved forward without my consent.

  So, I signed up in April, then come June I get a letter that they had my account number wrong, which I don't know how I could mess that up if I am looking at my bill when I enter it.... but anyways. I call to fix the issue, now after the rates went up I have to sign up for their services again at the current rate. Such a rip..... I signed up for a 5.9 rate in April, signed the contract. Then get this BS and have to sign up for the new rate of .94.... Tell me that doesn't sound fishy.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT USE CONSTELLATION!

  We recently purchased a new home and tried to switch Constellation over. When we renewed our 3 year contract, the sales guy told us that service is transferable if we move and we are guaranteed at the locked in price. After being on the phone for countless hrs, they insist on transferring service to the new home at a higher price than what we are in a contract for. So what is the point of a contract??? After being transferred to many reps, our call was finally escalated to the mgr. We received a call back from the mgr himself one week later and he said we can transfer the service but at a higher rate. We told him that this was not what we were told and was very dissatisfied with this service and will be writing a review. He hung up on us! TRUE SCAMMER action! We could easily just go with another provider but we believe in customer loyalty. Please do yourself a service and use some other company and not Constellation. It was a horrible experience from the getco, from setting up the account for auto pay to billing.

  I change to your company because I thought it was a good idea. Your first bill charged me $12.95 for "Heat Protection", a service I did not agree to purchase. After multiple attempts, the first bill was corrected and the charges reversed. I received the third bill today and yet again I was charged last month and again this month. I want a full refund for the $12.95 for the last two months and this charge to not show up on my bill ever again.

  If you value your sanity, do not choose Constellation.
I got suckered in with a low per therm rate the first year. When renewal came up, the therm rate increased by 23 cents. No negotiation, no senior discount program. Customer service is a nightmare. Once you jump through multiple hoops, you are connected with someone in Mumbai who asks the same questions repeatedly. If there is a special request, e.g. ending service, you are connected to a "Specialist" who asks the same questions over and over and over. A simple request can turn into a fifteen minute phone call and then the "Specialist" asks how you rate the performance of the agent. I can't wait for my two year contract to end. Continental "may" have the lowest rate but it has the highest frustration rate of any utility that I have ever used. Stay away. You'll thank me later, Tater.

Constellation Uncooperative Customer Service

  I have used various utility services to purchase energy supplies for many years and have never encountered a company to automatically renew my subscription to their program after my program period has expired. However Constellation does. After my 3 years was up with Constellation I found another service at a much lower cost so I set up a subscription with a new company. To my surprise I received a notice that since I chose another service Constellation sent me a notice that they were charging me a $25 fee because I enrolled with another company after my 3 years were up. I contracted Constellation's Customer Service department and they refused to drop that fee. Please be VERY cautious when considering Constellation! I will never deal with them again!

  I have been trying to cancel service since July 26. I set up a move out they shut off early. Got it back on now refuse to turn off. They are rude. I get the run around and broken promises. The minute I mention puc they hang up and say they will leave it on. They have refused to disconnect and I do not live there. Now I switched my new hone and ready to fight paying that bill for old address or the eft fee.

Promise Water Heater Protection and when needed they said, "We made a mistake." We don't service your area."

  Signing up with Constellation was a 'no-brainer'. Was the best rate AND a water heater protection plan! I was delighted...however, delight turned into disgust about three weeks into the contact/service period as I had a need for someone to look at water heater. Called for their service as was promised in their contract:
As a protection plan customer, there are n deductibles or co-pays and you'll pay $0 for covered parts and labor up to $2000 per contract year. Plus, you'll receive unlimited service calls and priority service scheduling from our network of local, licensed technicians." I believed this contact as it was signed by Kevin Klages, Senior Vice President however, when I called the main customer service said I was out of their service area. I took issue with this and was directed to the number to call for service on covered equipment and was told the same thing that they made a mistake and don't service the area. They need to "own" their mistake can cover the costs of the service call and repair of what was their 'covered equipment'. I called to share my displeasure with their outcome once my water heater was repaired. I asked for compensation to cover the costs. I was promised on Thursday, 7/1 by customer service that a supervisor would call me back. It is Wednesday, 7/7, nearly a week later and no one has called or attempted to call me from Constellation. I called again the morning of 7/7 to again voice my displeasure at the 'no customer service' in resolving this issue and I spoke with supervisor Ms. Verity, who referred me to another department that handles service on covered equipment - the service they say I don't have. LOL

  Constellation has a history of ripping people off at the end of contract. They raise your rates and are no longer competitive. Then when you switch marketers, and arrange to change to another, even if you arrange the switch on the contract end date, they try to rip you off with an early termination fee.

How Irritating Can You Get?

  From the moment I signed on with Constellation, I was barraged with constant emails, phone calls, and snail mail to get me to do install their junk stuff, promote them to my friends and relatives, and just being a general nuance. I told one of their staff that if they don't leave me alone, I going to cancel with them choose someone else even if it means higher rates. That finally stopped the ongoing irritations.

I enrolled but they never bothered to tell me that AGL didn't switch me

  I signed up for constellation on January 10 and received confirmation. Atlanta Gas Light did not switch me to Constellation because I was entered as a new user. Constellation did not bother to notify me of this and I did not find out until I received a $300 bill from Georgia Natural Gas ®. Constellation tried to tell me that they emailed and called me but there was nothing from Constellation in my inbox or spam folder. They did not even offer any kind of assistance with the GNG bill
