Poor customer service
| Customer service is poor. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I was moved to the wrong department. I was disconnected while on hold for the "right" department. I had to call several times because the system requires you to specify the reason when I did, it didn't comprehend and assumed there was a power outage. As a result, I had to make several calls. | |||

Worse company ever/ Price gouging/ monopoly not a competitive company/
| I Have been a customer for at least 30-40 and have seen this company go from alittle corrupt to the biggest corrupt company I've ever seen or heard of. During pandemic times where very hard so when your bill is above the national average its hard to pay without being on a payment plan and for the most part they do not work with you at all. Ive since then gotten solar best thing i ever have done if there was another company I would switch but thats not possible because there isnt one. So they also own the gas company which some months I use NO GAS whatsoever so you would think I wouldn't have a bill not true even though they delivered nothing they charged me delivery and other fees as well to the tune of 100.00 so I paid a gas bill of 100.00 for absolutely nothing. Ive also tried to get energy efficient furnace which eversourse offered rebates but i havent had anyone call me back in reference to my request. These companies have democrat politicians in their pockets and we probably pay there bills because we do pay their employees bills because as a employee of eversourse they pay a reduced rate as well as a bill. Connecticut is the worst state and planning on moving out of Connecticut. | |||

I would leave this company zero stars if I could
| I would give this company zero stars if I could. My electric bill is consistently over $800 per month because of the Public Benefits Charge, and there is no way to opt out. This charge is an enormous burden on my family. It's unacceptable that customers are forced to pay such high fees without any options or recourse. An independent audit needs to be conducted to investigate this companys practices, which appear to be borderline corrupt or at least highly questionable. Customers deserve better accountability and fairness. | |||

Out of control pricing and customer service

Recently moved to Waterbury, Connecticut from New London, Connecticut and had my services started in new apartment fine. Until I received my cold weather Bill, November was 316 and December jumped to 545 dollar
When I called to complain, I told the lady that my bill was never that high in new London, she said that the December bill was "actual" so I asked how is the bill actual when there isn't any electric meters in our complex? She answered that is done electronically, so I told her that's why you're charging people so much. Bad experience |

Everscammers
| I've lived in CT my whole life (52 yrs) I have never thought about moving out of CT. Since this Public Benefits scandal. I am actively researching the best state to move to that is not full of corruption, deceit and theft at it's highest level. I've raised my family here and I hold business licensing in CT, which I will have to test for and get re-licensed when I move out of state - not a small undertaking. Over the last year we had been paying approximately $40/month to Public Benefits. This fee was not outrageous (not loved) but was ok. Then our PB fee went up to $170 in July, then $248 in August. These fees are outrageous. Our CT government is full of corruption. I am working hard to move out of CT as soon as possible. | |||

Scammers
| Doesn't matter how little you use your electricity they will always make you pay a ridiculous amount. There are families with zero electricity because you keep rasing the rates. You'd rather rob people of their money vs actually doing something helpful. It's been 1k for 2 years we barely use anything!!! What's the point of paying this company when all they care about it scamming people and leaving people on the streets!! | |||

AWFUL.
| Eversource- one of your drivers was driving MANIACALLY on the Merritt Parkway and almost HIT my daughter and almost swerved into her. Then when she was so scared to the point where she had to get off at a random exit (exit 36, Old Stamford Rd in New Canaan) just so she could pull over and call me, the eversource car FOLLOWED her and the man driving proceeded to roll down his window and scream and yell and curse at her. So uncalled for, disrespectful, and terrifying for a young driver! Please tell your drivers to drive safer, be more attentive and aware, and to work on controlling road rage! And even if my daughter wasnt driving the safest, that is still ZERO grounds for following her and screaming at her while shes driving, and while he was driving as well!! Tell your drivers to read the DMV manual on DISTRACTED DRIVING AND ROAD RAGE!! So unprofessional, and unsafe! | |||

Eversource should be called take all your money.
|
In 4 years my bill has gone from $175 to $450 and now going up again. My bill has lots of
Your using less then why do i pay more. I have got a wood stove and i hope everyone dose the same. If you do solar make sure its not hooked to them. have a system you only control. Find ways to not use this company in any way. If eversource has short falls they get kick backs in taxes. stop pressing every customer that is paying. Nice it only takes 2 people to vote the new prices in. |

Confusing shut off notice
| I get your next bill is due Feb 19th which includes outstanding charges. I also get a pay in full by Feb 8th or we shut off your power and gas. On top of this, emails on my usage and insurance plans to purchase. It really annoys me to threaten shut off my service in 2 days and also say I don't have to pay for 3 weeks. On top of this, the billing system is down for 4 days, who does that? | |||

Crooks and cheats
| I am currently in the dark because I was not informed by Eversource that I needed to set up an account in my name. I did not receive a notice of disconnection. I mentioned this to customer service who, thanks to company policy, are not helpful at all. The earliest they can send someone is tomorrow, so am I supposed to freeze till then and have my food spoil?! It's winter for crying out loud! This is criminal especially when the company bigwigs voted themselves raises. In short, Eversource sucks! | |||
