Should Be Reported to the Better Business Bureau
I signed up with Powervine in August. I had Powervine as my electric supplier for a partial month. I then noticed my electricity was being supplied by my local utility company. I called Powervine and was told that my utility company upgraded their computer system and lost the Powervine account information anyone with Powervine should have received a letter from the local utility company informing them of the need to sign up with Powervine again. I was assured that Powervine would correct this issue. My next electric bill arrived and I still had my local utility company as the supplier. This time I called my utility company and I was told that Powervine sent them a letter stating I cancelled them as my electric supplier. I made another call to Powervine and I was told that the person I spoke with when I was trying to have this issue corrected never followed through with notifying my electric company that I had chosen Powervine. If this issue doesn't get corrected, I will be reporting Powervine to the Better Business Bureau.
