Low rate greatness

(5 / 5)

Just signed up for 5.99 4 month in CP&L. Saving about 5 cents off my old rate with Townsquare. Expect my bills to drop by a third. We'll see.

LOVE Public Power

(4.2 / 5)

I got my rates totally BLOWN UP after the Polar Vortex a couple years back, and after an obscene bill I jumped onto a reasonable rate with Public Power. I haven't had any reason to regret that decision since. Rates are affordable, and I haven't been price-gouged. For an electricity company, I'll take that all day long.

I HATE reliant. I pay the bill because I have no there option but they suck you dry. Every penny you have they try to take from you. Every month your bill increases by $30. If you have the choice, DO NOT CHOOSE RELIANT!!!

I called in because my power was unrightfully shut off. They said my bill wasnt paid in October or November when I had bank statements that proved otherwise. They asked for $600 for my power to be turned back on and another $107 on my next bill because they screwed up? Now Im home freezing with the stomach bug because of these ASSHOLES. Not to mention their customer service blows and their escalation team is a joke - no one can do anything but break laws, scam people and be rude as hell there.

Eversource shut power off without notice

(1 / 5)

Eversource shut off power mid winter in 26 degrees. It takes a full day until they have the time to flip the switch back on. No notice. No attempt to email ( we have paperless billing) no phone calls. This is outrageous.

Awful experience.

(1 / 5)

Absolutely awful experience. I just received my bill that was about $120 higher than normal. I renewed to a new rate in December but that was apparently only for new customers, and I was never notified. In one of the coldest months of the year, I got charged 11.49 cents instead of the 7.48 cents I signed up for. Even Eversource has a rate that is around 9 cents. The customer service agent tried to sell me into a 3 year contract as a help, which has a cancellation fee and is only .08 cents cheaper than Eversource. What a joke of a company.

I like everyone else had billing issues, got a disconnect notice after my payment had gone out the same day I got my bill. It was a money order that I had to pay $10 to get a copy of when it was cashed. It was cashed by them before my due date. I have 4 meters so it would have cost me $600 in termations fees. I told them they better not disconnect my electric. I am switching as soon as contract runs out.. Do we have to uphold the contract when we actually didnt sign one with Everything Energy?? I signed with Texas Power.
